If you've done any GameCube/Wii mods or Dolphin stuff, you've probably heard some variation of GALE01 or RSBE01 - these are Super Smash Bros. Melee and Super Smash Bros. Brawl's North American IDs respectively. Back in the day, I remember Action Replay code sites told you to look at the bottom of your Melee disc to see if you had v1.0, 1.1, or 1.2.

Improper GameCube Font
Due to copyright concerns, Dolphin is unable to include official GameCube fonts, and instead uses Droid Sans. Unfortunately, Droid Sans does not align well with the size/kerning of the official GameCube font, which can cause text to be misplaced, dialogs to display improperly, and other issues due to differing text sizes.
This can be corrected by including a region appropriate GameCube IPL (i.e. BIOSROM) under <Dolphin User Folder>/GC/. A GameCube 'IPL.bin' can be acquired from a real GameCube using Swiss. Refer issue 8362. GameCube BIOS files need to be named 'IPL.bin' in order for Dolphin to detect them, and should be 2,097,152 bytes in size. IPL files are different for PAL consoles and NTSC consoles, but American NTSC consoles use the same IPL files as Japanese NTSC consoles. The known good CRC32 checksums below can be used to validate files, but it is possible that a bad dump with a different checksum also works.

Frame Issues in Blue Sphere Game
When the game lags, it is possible that it will duplicate or show the wrong frames in the wrong order. This is most evident in Blue Sphere, where it will happen when there are any number of spheres on the screen. In order to avoid this, enable 'Emulated CPU Clock Override' and set it to 150% or higher. Refer issue 7199.
Various Minor Graphical Issues
While playing through the 2D Sonic games, some visual oddities may be seen, for example: spikes spawning in out of nowhere, certain objects not rendering right away, or flickering on the Act 1/2/3 text. To fix these issues, set Texture Cache Accuracy to Position 1 (Safe), however this can cause reduced performance.
Sound Desync
Due to a flaw in Dolphin's handling of the GameCube sample-rate, audio will slowly desync in this game. There is no solution currently. See issue 9235. Fixed in 5.0-5700.
Enhancements
